The blades are chrome molybdenum steel, chosen because sheet metal is abrasive work: the steel holds an edge through galvanized sheet, flashing and light section where a softer blade rolls over on the first long cut. The finish is polished and anti-rust treated, and the jaws are curved so the snip can follow a line as well as cut one.
Three cut patterns cover the work: straight for dead-ahead cuts, and left and right for curves in those directions. The offset jaws keep the hand clear of the offcut — the reason tradespeople buy snips in sets rather than one at a time.
HVAC contractors are the core trade, cutting ductwork and trunking to size on site. Roofers use them for flashing and trim, sign and panel shops for sheet and extrusion, and electricians for tray and trunking cuts. Any shop that handles sheet metal keeps at least the straight and one curved pattern on the bench.
Packing is 60 pieces per carton in each of the three cut patterns, in export cartons. Polybag, color box or blister packing can be arranged for retail-facing programs.
MOQ starts at 10 cartons per pattern. Custom packing, color box and logo printing are available from 50+ cartons for buyers with their own sheet-metal brand.
