This is the steel long tape: a steel blade on a reel handle, for site and land measuring where calibration has to hold. Steel stands up to abrasion against brick, concrete and formwork — the surfaces a 100M tape drags over all day — and it does not develop the slow stretch that makes an old tape read short. The blade is nylon-coated or lacquer finished; the reel is ABS plastic, the mainstream build for weight and drop resistance, with a thicker aluminum frame on heavy-duty versions.
Three lengths cover the work: 30M for building and site checks, 50M for setting out, and 100M for land and boundary measuring. Blade width is 12.5MM or 13MM, and the reel carries a folding hand crank, a metal ground spike and a belt clip. The crank rewinds the full length in seconds and keeps the blade clean for the next pull.
Long reels ship with two blade materials, and which one a buyer takes is the buyer's call, not ours. This page covers the steel blade; the fiberglass version is listed separately.
Non-conductive, light and rust-free — the blade an electrician can run next to live work without a second thought, and the one that shrugs off damp and coastal sites. Precision sits a notch below steel.
Higher precision and better abrasion resistance, which is why surveyors stay with steel for set-out work. The trade-off is weight and rust: in permanently wet sites a steel blade needs drying and care.
Site engineers and surveyors take the 50M and 100M reels for setting out and boundary work; builders use the 30M for day-to-day checks against the drawing. The same reels serve road and infrastructure projects, landscaping, sports grounds and factory floor layout — any job where the distance outruns a pocket tape.
Packing is 48 pieces per carton at 30M and 50M, and 24 pieces at 100M — the longest tape halves the count. Export cartons are standard; polybag, color box or blister packing can be arranged for retail-facing programs.
MOQ is 10 cartons. From 50+ cartons, custom packing and your logo can be arranged — useful for buyers bundling the reels into their own site-equipment program.

Yes — the fiberglass version is non-conductive, lighter and rust-free, which is what electricians and coastal sites usually take. This page is the steel-blade model.
