The bar is carbon steel with a painted, anti-rust finish — paint rather than bare polish, because a pry bar spends its life scratched against concrete and formwork, and the paint is what keeps rust off the steel underneath. The mainstream steel is 45# carbon steel, forged in one piece so the shank and ends share the grain; CR-V chrome vanadium is the premium step up, and the top builds are quenched for hardness — a bar that takes a bad lever and springs back instead of bending.
Four lengths run 450MM to 900MM in two bar sections: the 16MM section for light levering and nail pulling, the 18MM section for the heavy end — formwork stripping and demolition. The longer bars also give more leverage for the same effort, which is why the 750MM and 900MM sell to the wrecking trade.
Export lengths run 12, 18, 24, 30 and 36 inches — 300MM to 900MM. The four sizes listed on this page, 450MM to 900MM (18 to 36 inches), are the export core; the 12-inch light model is the retail DIY size. Longer bars multiply leverage for the same effort, which is why the wrecking trade buys long and the retail channel buys short.
Bar sections are round or hex, and every bar carries two ends: a flat chisel tip for levering boards and prying joints apart, and a curved claw for pulling nails. That combination is what makes one bar cover stripping, demolition and salvage work — and why the claw end, not the chisel, is what most buyers test first.
Demolition and wrecking crews are the core buyers: stripping formwork, pulling nails, lifting and levering heavy boards. General contractors keep the short bars on site for prying and adjusting; auto repair shops use them for tire removal and component stripping; warehouses keep them for crate stripping and unloading; and the retail DIY channel takes them for shed, fence and deck work.
Retail packing is a single bar in an OPP bag or on a hang card; multiples are bundled and cartoned, and full-container orders palletize directly. Export cartons hold 24 pieces at 450MM and 600MM, and 12 at 750MM and 900MM — the heavier bars halve the count.
